mulch shields prevent the greywater emitter from
being buried in mulch, making them easier to find and
protecting against root intrusion into the greywater
lines. they also allow visual inspections of greywater
flow. this mulch shield is an upside-down plastic plant
pot with the bottom cut almost off; we also sometimes
use landscape valve boxes.
